Then we announced that Envy Nails and Beauty was the best for nails and Cinema Bar won the title of best pub, followed by Ashley-James Ward from Award Health and Fitness, who is officially the best fitness instructor in St Helens.

Last week we wanted to find the best fish and chips in St Helens and some high quality finalists made our shortlist.

With several stores in St Helens, the family owned Chipmunk business has been in business for over 45 years providing customers with good quality, delicious and competitively priced traditional food.

Chipmunk Fingerpost is officially the best for fish and chips

A recommendation on their Facebook page read: “It was the best chippy 20 years ago and I still think of the sauce all those years of living in Australia.”
Another said: ‘Absolutely the best in St Helens!’

Manager Joanne Critchley said the award was due to the hard work of everyone at Chipmunk.

She said: “We have some really lovely customers who took the time to nominate us for this award and then vote for us to win.

“We are absolutely made up and the support has been fantastic.

“We wouldn’t be where we are now without our lovely customers.”
