Fish market construction works progress in Al Khor, Al Ruwais

Hassad Food Company (Hassad) oversees the implementation of the construction and development of a fish market in both Al Khor and Al Ruwais, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality, to meet local market needs , local Arab daily ‘Arrayah’ reported. Both markets, built to the highest global standards, are expected to be operational by the end of this year.

The source pointed out that the project serves and supports the local fishing industry and includes various service activities that would improve both the industry and the shopping experience of customers.

A model of the Al Ruwais fish market

The new markets will mainly serve the areas surrounding Al Khor and Al Ruwais as well as the central market of Umm Slal. The markets will have a rest room for customers in addition to a mosque and sufficient parking lots. The central city council had previously voiced the public demand to develop the existing fish markets in the country and equip them with all sophisticated facilities to enhance the experience and convenience of customers and vendors.
