Publix opens new store in Bradenton, Florida

Publix Food Markets opened its new Florida location at White Eagle in Bradenton on Thursday.

The 48,387 square foot supermarket at 13150 SR 64 East has an adjacent Publix Liquors. Publix’s expansion plans in its home country have seen no signs of slowing down as thelast thursday the grocer open at the Shoppes at East San Marco in Jacksonville.

The Brandenton opening specifically targets the Lakeland, Florida-based company the grocer’s plans to expand its customer base in the South Tampa area, the grocer said.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve more customers in Bradenton and look forward to welcoming them to our new store.Hannah Herring, Publix media relations manager, said in a statement. “Customers will appreciate the inviting environment, expanded product lineup and top-notch service they know and love from Publix.”

The store will feature sections for groceries, dairy, frozen, seafood, meat and produce, as well as a full-service bakery and pharmacy..The full-service deli will offer “handcrafted old-world delicacies,” sausages and prosciutto, as well as more than 200 artisan cheeses from the United States and around the world, Publix said.

The new Publix will also offer contactless payment options, grocery delivery via Instacart and pharmacy delivery.

Publix is ​​one of the largest employee-owned grocers in the nation, with more than 225,000 associates on its payroll.
